Grand Island, Michigan Paintings













This past August I spent 2 weeks in Michigan's Hiawatha National Forest as the Artist in Residence, above is most of the work completed.

    I love the first two pictures on this page particularly. I appreciate your realism - it is so close to how I see and remember the island every summer.

    The picture with the aluminum boat portrays a peaceful, quiet, cozy shore, serene and still.
    When Lake Superior is in "quiet" mode, it can really be like that.

    Thanks for the kind feedback. Grand Island is certainly a special place, I believe I'll be back next Summer. It was wonderful to meet so many "Islanders".
