11x14 OilI painted this on the last day of the workshop, it was the best weather and most consistent light effect of the week so it was really fun to pull the form out of those rocks. For all the times I've painted in Grand Marais I've never put the Lighthouse in , so that was kind of fun. The water was incredibly blue with the sun over my left shoulder, very little glare just rich Ultramarine Blue.
